Outfit of the Month(s)

OK so I figured while I am procrastinating to write my three page paper that is due tomorrow and that I have not even started, this time was as good as any to write a few blog post.

I think I wrote about this a month or so ago about how I feel like I finally found my style in clothing. I feel so comfortable and I am finally feeling like it fits my personality and I get to be creative. I have embraced a style of dress some call "street style" I am not unique in this but I feel good in it and I feel my age. No longer am I dressing to impress others but myself. Feeling confident overflows into all areas of my life.

I now look at clothes as a way to express my self almost like art. Not to tut my own horn because I am not that good or good at all. I just take ideas and dress myself like everyone else one leg at a time. But a few friends and some teenagers (biggest compliment of all) have asked if I would go shopping with them. (Ahhh... really....me... who am I ?!)

I wanted to post a few outfits and maybe make this a regular thing.

Warning:
Photos are taken myself in front of a mirror without any editing and sometimes no makeup. I have hand prints on my dusty mirror and a toddler at my feet. So not glamours but its just me : D

On our way to church

Outfit from a London store I so wish we had here in the states

Going way outside of my comfort zone wearing leopard pants but hey we only live once

First time with red lips

Love this photo because of my little lady

Wow Crystal overload! I totally understand if you don't want to see me for a few days after all of these photos. I don't know the appropriate amount of pictures someone can have of themselves in one post but I will try and promise I will only do this once.

Have fun with your clothes.

  1. How cute and stylish are you! I just wear the same boring thing everyday!
Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog and for sharing the lovely verses from the Bible. I'm a Christian too, and it's so nice to have little reminders that God and His Son are watching over us and supporting us in our busy lives.

Good luck with preparing for your move across the pond! I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about that down the road.

  2. Clothes change, styles go in and out ... just be you!
    Colossians 3:12 - 14 (The Message)
So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.
