Damage Control

This is the conversation I had with Ladybird yesterday. Damage control, Lady thinks the Lorax made the trees and some of creation but God made the rest.


Mommy: Ladybird who made the trees.

Ladybird: The Lorax!

Mommy: Um... nope God made the trees. The Lorax speaks for the trees. God made you and God made me and He also made trees, and fishies, and bunnies. So we are supposed to be nice to the trees and the fishies because God made it. So when people are not nice to God's creation we sometimes need people like the Lorax to speak up.

Ladybird: Mama can I have orange hair?

This conversation took place yesterday at lunch but I am proud to say Lady now knows who made ALL of Creation. At least we hope. And its not the Lorax. But he is a cute little guy with  a great message.

The Lorax acts as the voice for the voiceless. As ambassadors of Christ we are here speak up for such injustices whether it be for Gods chosen people or Gods perfect creation. As one of my favorite scriptures says;

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27

I hope to teach Lady these important principals.
